- @elysegrasso@historians.social#WritersCoffeeClub 26 How much time elapses between your WIP's first and last chapter? About 6 or 6 and a half months in vol 1, with a gap of several months before vol2. Volume 2 covers a shorter period, and is followed almost immediately by volume 3: that transition is a matter of status rather than chronology. The original very rough outline for the Elderkin Chronicles was loosely chronological: 'when Franz-Karl was X years old, the key event was Y' with a story arc for each Y.
- @jshawthorne@packmates.org#WritersCoffeeClub June 26: How much time elapses between your WIP's first chapter and last chapter? Uh, that depends how you count it. Like the time between the moments of the first and last sentences? Like maybe two months. The amount of time that the book total spans is like 45 years (or possibly closer to 80 depending on whether I cut some scenes out).
