Shelling destroyed the radiation monitoring station at Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported that a radiation monitoring station near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) was destroyed due to shelling. Rafael Grossi, the IAEA's director general, stated that this destruction has significantly impaired the ability to detect and measure radioactive emissions in emergency situations. The station was located approximately 16 kilometers from the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Presently, only 4 out of the 14 such facilities that were operational before Russia's full-scale invasion are still functioning.
