China's Chang'e-6 has successfully returned to Earth, bringing home approximately 2 kg of samples from the far side of the Moon. The return capsule landed in inner Mongolia and was transferred to a facility in Shanghai. With the samples in hand, officials will now hand out small portions of regolith to Chinese and international researchers, who will use them to study how the far side of the Moon is different from the more familiar near side.
